Richard Field joins DQS as our Head of Resourcing for SAS Professionals and Consultants.

Richard is a recruitment specialist with over 15 years experience in recruitment where he has built an excellent working relationship with a wide range of SAS professionals and the business community at large, gaining a reputation as one of the foremost recruiters in his market with an enviable record of delivery.

He also brings with him over thirteen years experience of recruiting into the SAS software market place and has an excellent understanding of the recruitment needs within this space.

Richard compliments our already very successful Consultancy business, led by Jane McCalla, and will enable DQS to offer an increasingly flexible service to our customers.

SAS Server Consolidation at Major Insurance Company

Definitive Quality Solutions have just completed a successful SAS server consolidation project at a major insurance company. Bringing together multiple PC and Server instances of the software, onto a centralized Enterprise Business Intelligence platform, lays the foundations for a rationalization program to reduce data & program duplicity by launching a Self-Service Business Intelligence strategy. The consolidation project involved determining the customer requirements, performing impact analysis for each business area, co-ordinating the installation, configuration and testing phases, and finally assisting seven different business areas in the migration of numerous datasets & thousands of programs. This five man project was staffed and managed fully by DQS resource. The first of subsequent projects to exploit the new technology is underway to replace a spreadsheet reporting pack with a SAS Information Delivery Portal solution saving hours of manual effort and removing the margin for error.
